It is the year 2013
and we now:
Regularly and routinely invest in mature neighborhoods throughout
the city to prevent infrastructure decay.
Have increased activity at the University and City as a result
of the Synchrotron being operational, and more related businesses
established because of its reputation for a quality research environment.
Enjoy more routes with better air service.
Address crime at the root causes by targeting criminals that
re-offend by proper treatment in addition to their time served
Consult with neighborhoods before we plan
changes, not after.
Have the largest skilled workforce available
that is prepared to replace those that are retiring.
Still enjoy a vibrant downtown with plans being started for
a Light Rail Transport system.
Have a police service that is the envy of the country
due to lessons learned 10 years ago, and instructs other police agencies across
Canada in race relations.
Lead the nation in alternative powered transportation.
Enjoy renewed optimism following the property
tax reassessment implementation.
Have celebrated our fourth Vanier Cup victory
in the past 10 years.
